Listened

• Machine Head - Burn My Eyes (1994) This album is a roundkick straight to your chin, but one you gladly take because it comes in the middle of a moshpit - you're already there for it. It is pure rage represented with just the correct amount of artistry and virtuosity. It is also a great, if not best, bridge between 80s and 00s, where tradition and novelty converges. Lombardo level drumming by Mr Kontos. My favorite moments are when song takes a turn towards a higher tempo than it's usual out of nowhere. No favorite song since they are all favorites. All kickers - no fillers. An ageless masterpiece. 5/5 10-08-2025
• Deicide - Overtures of Blasphemy (2018) I have mixed feelings about this album. It is an overall good album but somewhat repetitive. Worth another revisit soon. 3.5/5 06-08-2025
• Sodom - The Arsonist (2025) Sodom is still thrashing as if it is 80s. One word: masterpiece. 5/5 30-07-2025
• Testament – The Legacy (1987) A 39 minutes lesson on thrash. Everything about this album is great. No note or beat misses it's target. It gets a perfect 5/5 28-07-2025
• Iron Maiden – Iron Maiden (1980) Good but not my taste. 3/5 27-07-2025
• Slayer – Show No Mercy (1983) It's a classic for a reason. Worth a revisit every once in a while, as I just did. 4.5/5 27-07-2025
• Ashes of Ares - Ashes of Ares (2013) Average album. Nothing new, nothing great. I liked the songs 2, 7, 9, which are on the faster side. It gets a hard 3/5 27-07-2025
